TAVISTOCK Swimming Club vice captain James Anderson represented Great Britain at the ETU Cross Triathlon European Championships in Germany.

James took fourth place in the Elite Junior event where he competed against strong opposition from across Europe over a course comprising a 750 metre open water swim, a 16 kilometre mountain bike course and a 5,000 metre cross country run in the Black Forest.

On returning to the UK James competed for Team Buff UK in the Torrington Terror Triathlon, where he came first in the junior category and also won the event overall.  

He is now preparing for the Junior Elite Super Series event at the ExCel Centre in London on Sunday (August 9).

Later this month James will be competing in the Castle Series Olympic distance (1,500m swim, 40km road cycle and 10km run) at Chantilly in France.
