OKEHAMPTON went into their last friendly hoping to build on the two previous wins but it wasn't to be against a thoroughly deserving visiting side.

The hosts started brightly and looked the better team in the opening ten minutes, Chris Luxton and Josh Speak both having great chances. The away team though soon got a grip and showed their abilities with a well worked opening goal.

The home side rallied and a superb move involving Will Cooper, Sam Whalley and Luke Miller released Josh Speak who was taken out by the opposition goalie and won a penalty stroke, Miller converted to equalise.

After half time the home side looked a much better outfit controlling possession for long periods without really looking to have a cutting edge. Against the run of play North Devon won a short corner and they took the lead.

Although they lost to a team in a higher division there were some good things to come out of the game, Sam Whalley getting man of the match and Jonny Aylen proving he can cope with the higher standard this season.
