THERE were West Devon winners in the Devon and Exmoor Sheepdog trials at Kentisbury Down on Saturday.

In the open driving, where 25 ran, Bob Watson of North Tawton was first with his dog Jay.

On Sunday in the Woolhanger Hill Trial in the open driving Jed Watson of Postbridge won with his dog Taff.

Jed also had success with his dogs at Devon and Exmoor Sheepdog Society trial at Ley Farm, Diptford near Totnes earlier this month.

He, along with his dog Meg, won the novice class with 72 points.

There was victory too for Bobby Watson of North Tawton in the combined class, with his dog Max on 89pts. Jed Watson was third and fourth with Cap.
