Chard A 3

THIS week saw Okehampton A travel to Chard in Somerset and both teams were level at half time 2-2 with the visitors' goals scored by Andy Strong and Stuart Jarvis.

There was outstanding play by Oke's Stuart Jarvis on the right wing with superb crosses into the D many times creating the first goal and other chances. Tim Morgan and John Jarvis made some exceptional tackles that frustrated Chard's attackers which resulted in a yellow card for a home player. Throughout the game there were some excellent saves by George Morgan which kept the opposition at bay.

The  second half proved fruitful with the two Jakes (Jones/ Lloyd) both scoring from open play.

There was some excellent individual skills from Lloyd to pass the opposition on his way to goal and man of the match Jones picked up on a loose ball from an Andy Strong strike at goal.

The Oke defence kept Chard from making too many chances and the final score means Oke move up the league by a position.
