IN division one of the Okehampton and District Table Tennis League this week, Anchorage A were at home to Tavistock.

This was a match where the final result did not reflect the competitiveness. Although Tavistock ran out eventual 10-0 winners it was not before Dave Vanstone took Peter Hicks to a fifth leg and Colin Jones pushed Angharad Beman all the way, just losing 8-11 in the fifth and Malcolm Hopkins again took Hicks to a decider, just losing 7-11. The doubles followed in similar fashion with Hopkins and Jones just losing in the fifth leg to Beman and Nick Davies.
