THE North Devon Marathon is one of the toughest marathons in the country with its challenging route along the steep and rugged coast and inland hills of North Devon. It has quickly established itself as one of the 'to do' events with runners arriving from all over the country to test their endurance.

Okehampton Running Club's ironman, Adrian Kettle, completed the marathon in 4.17.01 hours – just three weeks after he ran the Endurancelife Classic Quarter Ultra - another gruelling coastal trail race – and a distance of 44 miles.
