Okehampton ladies seconds 3

Plymouth University ladies thirds 0

THIS was a superb display of commitment from the Oke ladies in their last outing of the season. The afternoon was ablaze of glorious sunshine and excellent balls skills from the young side.

The first half was dominated by midfield passes from both teams. Nell Fallon display shows a bright future as an attacking wing to give Okehampton a promising start. Some cracking passes came from Sophie Tripp to forwards Molly Petherbridge and Winnie Rademaker into the attacking area, but all attempts were denied by the visiting goalkeeper.

The second half saw more guts and determination from Okehampton ladies. Midfielders Nicola Stoneman, Tara Davidson and Sophie Tripp made strong passes to forward Rochelle Hillier, who played a timely pass to Winnie Rademaker who grabbed Okehampton's first goal. Then defender Carol Taylor forced a powerful ball upfield to Rochelle Hillier who battled with the goalkeeper for the second goal.

The third goal, again by Winnie Rademaker , stabbed through the Plym University defence from a short corner and eluded the goalkeeper.

Okehampton defence, Kate Adams and Katie Graves remained strong and supportive after counter waves of attacks from the visitors.

This was an excellent end to an exciting season for Okehampton ladies second team.
