OKEHAMPTON attacked with quick passes, however this was soon cut out by the opposition. Marjons pushed back quickly but were thwarted by good marking by Anna Cherrington and Kim Davey.

Oke's strong defence of Jane Jones, Rachel Hammett and Debbie Pritchard cut out the Marjons skilful attack. Marjons soon came back on the attack with a short corner being awarded to the home side; the shot was superbly deflected by Hammett. There was great movement by Kim Bland and Oke player of the match Louise Weller, but the away side could not find a way through as the half time score was 1-0 to the home side.

As the second half started Oke put the home side under a lot of pressure with great play from Amanda Sim and Joanna Moppett. Marjons push hard up the field and won a penalty flick as the ball bounced onto Carol Taylors' foot but it was saved by Shannon Osman. Oke continued to press hard but were unable to find a way through with the Marjons' defence.
