THIS was a fiery and tense match. Okehampton attacked from the whistle as Winnie Rademaker made her first attempt at goals within minutes.

Oke captain Nic Stoneman, Sandy Douglas and Katie Adams were powerful in defence, relentlessly driving away balls from the D.

However, Dart were awarded several penalty corners during this first half and scored two goals in quick succession. Nonetheless, Okehampton did not give up as midfielders Viv Weatherington and Hannah Whiteley drove their team into the heart of the Dart defense to set up Winnie Rademaker and Molly Petherbridge with attempts at goal.

Okehampton applied more pressure on Dart in their own D and were awarded with two penalty corners; with a sweet crisp pass from Anna Cherrington to Rademaker, who smashed the ball into the back of the goal. Oke remained in control until a long injury time changed the atmosphere of the game to Dart's favour. Awarded the last penalty corner of the match two of Dart's strikers scrapped virulently with Rochelle Hillier at the mouth of the goal before scoring.

This was a closely fought match with a great effort from both teams.
