DEVON County Air Rifle and Air Pistol Shoot at Okehampton over three days last week. Shooters came from far and wide to compete at this annual event held at the Okehampton Smallbore Club.

One keen competitor cycled 140 miles from Fareham on Friday, shot in the competition on Saturday and cycled back home to Fareham on Sunday!

Okehampton club were well represented in the competition. London Olympics 2012 competitor Gorgs Geikie shot 10m pistol in class A, and won while in class D 10m pistol, Cian Healey was second.

Neil Abernethy, who shoots air rifle at 10m, was in class A and was third. Also shooting air rifle at 10m was Sharon Bartlett, who won her class C.

Okehampton Club put forward Gorgs Geike, Paul Batten and Andy Healey to shoot in the team 10m air pistol event and they came second in class A.

It was a great set of results for the Okehampton Club Air Shooters.
