THE Otterton Reindeer Run organised by Sidmouth Running Club attracted nearly 200 runners, including Lucy Skye and Chris Aylen from Okehampton Running Club.

This 10K race was over a new route with longer hills, the usual amount of mud and beautiful sea views making for a good atmosphere with many runners choosing to wear seasonal fancy dress. There were representatives from several 'new' running clubs including 'Sky Fall', 'Rein Beer' and 'Rudolf's XXXX Rejects!'

The front runners probably scared off any reindeer on the course, and all runners enjoyed some mulled wine in their memento mugs at the end of the race.

Lucy put in a great time of 54 minutes 40 seconds, with Chris not far behind in 58.28. Chris' son Michael, stormed in ahead of these two in 52.49 putting him among the top 50 to finish.
