IN division A of the Devon Cricket League Lewdown firsts were beaten by Barton by 41 runs.

The visitors posted 171-9 with A Parker hitting 88; Lewdown bowlers J Wessels and L Horn took 3-23 and 2-39 respectively.

Despite a 61 from J Wessels the home side could only muster 130 in reply.

Lewdown thirds batting against Bovey Tracey fourths at Belstone. Thanks to an 81 by Clive Marais and 22 not by Tony Geering the ‘home side’ posted 142-4 in response to the visitors who were all out for 138; G Wingrove took 4-30). Lewdown thirds won by six wickets.
