Devon C
Chagford v Plymouth Civil Service
CHAGFORD won the toss and batted first but lost wickets at regular intervals.
Although there were scores from Paul Penberthy, Del Lammonby (15) and late aggresive contributions from Duncan Manners- Chapman (25) and Denzil Penberthy (21) the home side were all out in the 31st over for just 129. Many of the Chagford wickets were lost to the batsmen falling to poor shot selection.
Star of the visitors attack was Robert Walker with 4-25 supported by Daniel Windsor 2-22 and Simon Light 2-6.
In a rain affected game the Plymouth target was reduced to 107 and despite losing three wickets for 44, Plymouth Civil Service reached their target in 23.5 overs without further loss, Robert Walker and Daniel Windsor completed fine all round performances with 28 not out and 27 not out respectively.
Jerry Christophers making a welcome return to the first team after injury took 2-22 and Del Lammonby 1-26 in a poor Chagford performance.
