Devon and Exeter Football three

Hemyock 3

Chagford 1

CHAGFORD were unfortunate to not get a result at promotion tipped Hemyock, after gaining the lion's share of a tense second half.

Two goals behind  at one stage, the hosts nearly wilted under pressure from Will Hutchison's goal and seven attempts cannoning off their goal-frame. Hemyock netted a late third to seal the outcome but Chagford can take heart from their efforts when they face Sidmouth Town Reserves at the the Memorial Fields on Saturday. 3pm kick-off.

Devon and Exeter seven

Chagford Reserves 2

Bradninch Villa 7

BRADNINCH slaughtered Chagford with a five goal volley that allowed them to rise in the table, sending the home side back into the relegation zone.

Chagford made a stunning start through Robbie Miller who arrowed the ball past Norman from 45 yards and with just 11 seconds on the clock!

If the home supporters thought they were to see a rout, they could not have expected their side to be so disappointing.

Ryan Lister nodded home on three minutes for an equaliser and Villa eased their way back into the match.

Chagford hopes were raised when Miller crossed for Connor Vincent to fire home Chagford's second. Although the hosts hit the woodwork, they were more than grateful to see Joe Knight pull of a couple of smart saves that kept his side ahead at half-time.

After the break, Chagford seemed to fade away as goals from Lister, Reed (2), O'Hara, Hawkins and Webber swept them aside. Chagford did create chances but failed to put them away. Knight suffered a broken thumb but unwittingly playing on.
