CHAGFORD Youth Cricket is inviting youngsters to join in their winter net sessions.

Neil Rowlands, a spokesman for the club, said: 'We hope to emulate the successes of the previous seasons and add to the growing numbers of players that have been selected at both district and county level. The programme for 2015 will include league cricket for under 10s, U11s, U12s and U15s as well as softball for the U10s.

For the older players they have a third team into the Devon Men's League, which will act as a bridge from youth to senior cricket.

'With this in mind we have organised some indoor, hard (cricket) ball net sessions for some early preparation at Okehampton Leisure Centre, Parklands. The cost will be £3 a session or £15 for six sessions.'

Dates: Years 3-5 (U10s), Saturday February 21 and 28; Saturday, March 7, 21 and 28 March and Saturday, April 11 between 2.30pm and 4pm. Years 6-7 (U12s), Sunday, February 22, Sunday, March 1, 22 and 29 between 2.30pm and 4pm.

Years 8-10 (U 15s), Sunday, April 12 and 19 between 2pm and 4pm (other dates to be confirmed).
