NORTH Tawton Bowling Club welcomes new members to its club evenings which are held every Monday night in the summer from 5.30pm.

The club, at the Green in North Street, North Tawton, held an open day on April 12 to mark the new season.

Des Vallance and new coach John Kinsey will be on hand at the evening sessions to offer guidance to newcomers and old hands alike. If you would like to give the game a try the first session is free. Novices can then join at half the annual subscription.

The club has lost one of its men's over 60 teams but captain Lloyd Reynolds and the selection committee will try and make sure no one misses out by expanding the other three teams. There will also be two teams in the Shield competition.
