OKEHAMPTON Colts continued their winning streak with a hard fought battle against a strong East Devon unit.

Okehampton played with the bare 15 young men available due to player unavailability and returns to the 1st team.

With a lot of forwards and not many backs, players playing out of position, the young Okehampton side set about their task with real guts and determination, getting on the score board with an early try, conjured up by captain Gross, followed by another before half time by Francis.

Playing up the slope in the second half the young Okes held off fierce and prolonged attacks from the Cullumpton side who only attained a three point penalty from their efforts. Okehampton then turned defence into attack with Dan Fogerty playing in his first game at fly half, catching the ball just outside his own 22 and tackled two metres short of the try line, popped the ball up to the supporting winger Dan Squires who duly touched down to make the score 15 to 3 at the final whistle.

Another good win by the young Okehampton side who all tackled with venom and played with real intensity. Man of the match was Blake Lovejoy.
