THIS was a closely fought match between two very competitive sides with Okehampton ladies starting the stronger

Balls criss-crossed the D from Oke to their forwards Winnie Rademaker and Eve Colton and it was not long until Oke made their mark.

A play across the D from Rademaker found Alex Collins whose controlled pass placed the ball delicately in front of Viv Weatherington, who scored to put her side in front. However, within minutes Okehampton became complacent and left an overwhelmed defence struggling against the Sidmouth and Ottery's agile strikers,

The visitors equalled within moments and it did not take long before it was 1-2. 

The second half saw a renewed effort by Okehampton with their player of the match Colton moving to central defender were she unnerved the opposition with fearless tackles.

Okehampton gained momentum and pushed forward as captain Nic Stoneman organised her team to produce a wave of attacks, ending with a goal from Viv Weatherington.

But one moment of lost concentration saw Sidmouth and Ottery unmarked players descend on Okehampton's goal for the winner.
