ON Saturday at Okehampton Golf Club a three ball all to count Stableford competition was held for the John Norman Trophy.

The winners of division one and the trophy were Barry Down, Stuart Tolley and Paul Prouse with a superb 98 points. In second with 96pts were Martin Cox, Chris Hurley and Richard Johnson; third, with 91pts, were Pete Kiss, Lee Carey and Ian Moore.

Division two was won by Steve Browne, Graham Mitchell and Peter Howell on 96 pts; second were Mike Davis, Alan Grimshaw and Ron Copeland with 93pts; third Paul Alford, Bryan Evans and David Grimes on 92pts.

On April 9 the ladies' division played a par competiton for the Par Cup. The winner of the trophy who attained level par was Michelle Abel. In second place with minus one was Sue Stanbury and third, on minus two, was Maureen Willcocks.
