OKEHAMPTON travelled away to face Teign knowing they were in for a tough game despite having already secured promotion for next season.

This was confirmed with Teign winning and successfully converting a penalty corner to go 1-0 up early on. Determined to change the flow of the game, Okehampton came back fighting and it was not long before Jo Moppet evened the score line with a wonderful solo effort.

Oke settled further with good flowing play between Louise Weller and Sophia Marshall testing the Teign defence. Moppet scored again to put the visitors ahead. Teign fought back equalising but well placed positioning allowed Hannah Whiteley to slot the ball home sending Oke into the break 3-2 up.

After half time, Oke were put under pressure with a flurry of short corners giving goalkeeper Alice Wiseman plenty of action, but with the help of defence Carol Taylor, Nicola Stoneman, Nicky Pedrick and player of the match Sophie Whiteley, Oke did well not to concede again. Ending the match on their terms, Oke kept pushing with Jess Medland and Annebelle Rademaker creating space on the wings for Moppett to get her hat trick past the frustrated Teign defence.
