OKEHAMPTON were the stronger team from the onset with Jo Moppett dribbling past the Exe defence with great skill to score the first goal after a few minutes.

The Okehampton defence stayed strong and regained possession with good covering and team work from Amanda Sim and Rachel Hammett. Sim continued tackled well and passed the ball up the line to Moppett for the second goal to be scored.

Exe then made a good surge forward with quick passing to score before Okehampton regrouped to score their third, and Moppett's hat-trick thanks to a fast, accurate pass from Hammett in defence.

At half time Okehampton had a comfortable lead and came out just as strong after the break. Moppett a fourth, supported well by Lesley Bingham.

Exe gained control of the game for a short period where they were given some penalty corner chances but were unable to add to their score sheet after some great post saves from Carol Taylor and Shannon Osman.

Another surge from the Okehampton mid field got the ball back to the forwards where a strike from Jo at the top of the D was tapped in at the post by Kim Bland.

Anna Cherrington made her first team debut, playing strongly on the left. Switching with Alex Collins for fresh legs proved to work well with Alex scoring the final goal of the match from a great cross from Kim Davey.
