AT Okehampton Golf Club on Saturday a three ball two to count Stableford com-petition took place for the Wilson Shield and played in beautiful sunshine.
Winners of division one and the Wilson Shield with 77 points were Paul Douglas, Rod Milsom-Smith and John Haley. In second place with 75pts were Paul Prouse, Richard Prouse and Matt Soby while in third were Ted Boswell, Ray Stevens and club captain Adrian Tilley on 73pts.
In division two the winners were Rob Camies, Graham Mitchell and Bob Reddington with 74pts winning on the back nine from Matt Parry, Andy Parry and Tom Wilson in second place. Third place went to Paul Rogers, Russell Bowden and Paul Fewings with 70pts.
On March 12 the Oke GC ladies played their first qualifying Stableford competition of the year.
It was a close competition with the top three ladies of the silver division all coming in with 32 points.
After countback first place was awarded to Sue Stanbury, Marcia Collett was second and in third was Abby Turner.
The winner of the bronze division was Maggie Caws on 32 pts ; second on 31pts was Maureen Willcocks and lady captain Val Dodsworth third with 28pts.
