OKEHAMPTON Otters Swimming and Lifesaving Club took five children to compete at the Devon sprints last month.

Each child had to compete in four events times. Evie won four medals - one gold, two silvers and a bronze. Finley won one gold and Izzy one bronze. Jessica and Daisy recorded several personal best times.

Head coach David Dennis said this was a fantastic event for the Otters. ‘

To come away with six medals out of 20 events is brilliant,’ he said: ‘Last year we had two of our members achieve Devon times at this early stage of the season, so to already have the possibility of three children achieving Devon times is wonderful. Well done to all the Otters who took part.’
