OKEHAMPTON Hockey Club hosted the next round of the England Hockey U14 boy's development league on Sunday.

Teams from Exeter CVH, Isca and Yeovil and Sherborne attended. Oke started the afternoon with a game against Exeter CVH, and got off to a poor start conceding a sloppy goal straight away. This woke the players up, and they equalised before half-time. Two further goals secured a good win for the home boys.

Their second fixture was against Isca, which always presents a challenge, but the Oke boys were on a roll and by half-time were leading 3-1. A few nervous moments after half time allowed Isca back into the game with two further goals only for Oke to add to their score moments later.

A good all-round team effort meant no further goals were scored and Oke held on for a 4-3 win.
