IT was another busy weekend for Okehampton Running Club with a huge turnout of members at the Tavy 7, and runners at the inaugural Bristol to Bath Marathon and the Dartmoor Vale Marathon.

Husband and wife team Becca and Jason Ewing ran the Bristol to Bath Marathon. This was Becca’s first time at the marathon distance and they ran together to finish in a good time of 4 hours 17 minutes 19 seconds.

Another local first timer was Graham Bryant of Hatherleigh who posted a fast 3.10.57. Paul Carter ran in the Dartmoor Vale Marathon completing in 3.17.19.

There were great results and prizes a-plenty for ORC at the Tavy 7 with Andrew Vernon, Mags Jarvis and Janet White all winning their respective age categories while the team of Charlotte Radnor, Abby Williams and Cathy Carey were the third ladies’ team.
