OKEHAMPTON Running Club's Paul Carter produced yet another strong performance to finish 12th overall at the Tavy 13 half marathon in a time of 1 hour 25 minutes 43 seconds. He also bagged the prize for first male veteran 45. Wendy Abbot had a good run on this hilly course, just a few weeks after gaining a personal best at the Bideford Half, completing in 2.07.29.

Organised by Tavistock Athletic Club, the race took place on a freezing cold day - but 13.1 miles of Tavistock's country roads with an ascent of 1,062 feet throughout no doubt helped the runners to keep warm.
