FIVE of members of Okehampton Running Club went down to Redruth to run the Duchy 20K.

Steve Gentle, Leanne Rice, Dave Way, Lita Vallance used it as a training run for the London Marathon while Brian Welham also competed.

Steve was first ORC home in a great time of 2hours 10 minutes 43 seconds followed by Leanne in 2.55.55, Brian 3.08.01, Dave 3.12.29 and Lita 4.04.33.

On the Same day 11 ORCs went to Bideford for the half marathon. Vicky Pincombe was first lady home in1hr 21mins 14secs; Jane Jackson  came second in her age group in 1.44.07 and Katie Littlejohns had a great time in her first race of 1.41.38.
