OKEHAMPTON ladies’ seconds played Plymouth University seconds in the Devon trophy. Oke took the lead early in the match with a goal from Katie Chapman with the University equalising just before half time from a penalty corner.

There was exciting end to end hockey in the second half but neither team could produce a winning goal. This led to the result being decided on penalty corners.

Despite Nicky Pedrick and Jane Jones converting their penalties and some impressive saves by the Oke keeper Jennie Humphrey, Plymouth University eventually won 3-2 on flicks.
