A LARGE field took part on Saturday at  Okehampton Golf Club in an 'all to count' Stableford competition for the John Norman Trophy.

The winners of the trophy with a combined score of 98 points were Kevin Cornwall, Paul Rattenbury and Mark Wonnacott. Hot on their heels with 97 points were John Haley, Paul Douglas and Rod Milsom-Smith. Third place went to Rod Wright, Ron Uren and Nick Heath with 93 pts and fourth with 92 pts were Paul Ayris, Will Potts and Kerry Skinner.

On April 10 the ladies of Okehampton Golf Club played for their Par Cup which was won by Mary Keir with -1; second was Janice Thwaites and in third was Sue Stanbury. Winning the silver division was Penny Deakin.

The Doris Willes-Little pairing of Lin Atkinson and Marcia Guy won their first round match against Honiton at Exminster. Marcia Guy and Lin Atkinson had a good win away at Honiton in the Daily Mail Foursomes and progress to the next round.

The ladies section would welcome anyone new to golf to join their beginners' group.
