Friendlies Barnstaple Town 5 Okehampton Argyle 2 OKEHAMPTON Argyle continued their pre-season build up with a visit to Western League Division One favourites Barnstaple Town on July 22 and despite a very spirited performance, came away with a 5-2 defeat against their strong hosts. Despite going behind as early the second minute and 2-0 down after 15 minutes, Argyle fought back well going in at the break only 3-2 in arrears courtesy of two fine goals from  Brad Ausden and Jason Cordice. Barnstaple made eight changes at half time and with Okehampton now facing the host's strongest XI, they had to defend resolutely for long periods. Argyle still managed to create chances, but it was Barnstaple who added two more goals to complete a 5-2 win.

Seaton 5 Okehampton Argyle 5 ARGYLE were on the road again with a trip to Seaton but this time it was the visitors that were too strong for their hosts with a comfortable 5-2 win. Jason Cordice opened the scoring for Argyle after 10 minutes and despite conceding an unfortunate own goal midway through the half it was Jason Cordice who added his and Argyle's second just before the break. Cordice completed his hat trick with a  well taken penalty early in the second half with Adam Mortimer making it 4-1 on the hour. Okehampton continued to create many chances with Dale Chadwick unlucky to see his effort come back off the post, but it was Seaton who added their second in the 80th minute with a mishit cross field pass that wrong footed Argyle keeper, Jack Dixon. Brad Ausden completed the scoring for the visitors with a fine solo effort for Oke's fifth in the closing stages. Oke could have won by a greater margin as overall they ran out comfortable winners.
