The competition was due to run over two days with the riding taking place on the Sunday; however, due to the course at Winkleigh being waterlogged, the riding was cancelled and the competition changed to a triathlon of shooting (bean bag throwing for the youngest com-petitors), running and swimming.
Spooners sent a team of six members with some superb results and personal bests.
In the Minimus 8 and under class Lamorna Cox scored a resounding victory with best bean bag throw, best run and best swim and and overall first place. Holly Alford was sixth.
In the mini girls 9 and under Holly Cole had the best run and third place overall.
In the mini boys 9 and under there was another triumph with Fynn Baker making the best shoot, best run and best swim and overall first place with Rory Cox in third place.
Finlay Adams represented the club in the mini boys 11 and under just missing out on a placing.
Spooners are hosting their own triathlon to be held at Mount Kelly on October 29.
