DARTMOOR Radio Sailing held its first race of the Dragonforce/RG65 Summer Series on April 15.

These small boats provide keen racing at modest cost, and are also easy to transport. The day was fine, though rather cool, and 13 boats took part in some competitive racing.

The course was set on the eastern side of the lake, using the classic Windward/Leeward gated configuration. During the day, the wind veered to the north, which caused the windward marks to be moved to keep the first leg as close to the wind as possible.

The standard of sailing and racing was seen to be improving during the day.
