The Okehampton and District Snooker league held the culmination of their winter season with league winners British Legion E beating runners up Sheepwash B 3-0 in the Knock Out Cup final.
The first frame between Dan Clements and Nick Hardie began as a cagey affair with first blood to Dan Clements with a 16 break. Nick Hardie fired back with breaks of 17 and 15 and his safety play Nick sealed him the frame.
In frame two Joe Bray punched in the brown to lead Grant Powell by 18 with 18 left. Joe then potted the blue but went in off which left him 13 ahead with 18 on the table. Grant slotted in the blue to reduce the arrears but left Joe with the pink on the side cushion which he doubled superbly into the opposite corner bag.
Scott Powell played Julian Bray in the third with the British Legion E only needing one more frame to clinch the KO cup. Sheepwash B started with only four players, which meant Scott Powell had to give away a -14 start. After some early safety by each player Julian Bray knocked in an excellent break of 40 to seal the match and the KO cup.
The next two frames were played anyway, with Jody Bray beating Scott Powell in a cagey frame.
Ross Powell then played Simon Tremlett with both players knocking in some nice small breaks. Tremlett blitzed into a healthy lead before a comeback from Powell which went down to the a black ball finish, won by the latter.
