WITH unbeaten Okehampton seconds still top of the league the pressure was on to secure another win away to the third placed team, ISCA.

The home side started with first push back, Oke soon got the ball back in a skilful way and pushed towards the ISCA defence. Piling on the pressure Nicky Strawbridge and Rochelle made light work of taking the ball deep before delivering a perfectly timed cross ball to Elsa, which saw her smash the ball into the back of the goal. 

A deserved short corner saw a fast ball injected from Nicola Bennie to Alex Collins, who, with one touch, struck the ball towards goal; however, the keeper kicked the ball towards an awaiting Nicky who was able to hit the ball into the back of the net. 

Working the ball up the pitch from Emma Wiseman to the middle, Lucy Wiseman found Zoe Curtis to the right. With her speed of running, she took the ball down to the base line and produced a quick flick to Sophia Marshal, who was able to slot the ball in behind the goalie. 

ISCA did not give up with their experienced forwards attempting to make the most of breaks but well timed tackles from Anna Luxton and great tracking back from player of the match Rachel Adams, who saved a ball on the line of the goal, made ISCA finish the first half with no goals. 

The second half saw ISCA come out fighting with pressure from the off towards the Oke defence but with control and discipline from keeper Daisy, only one managed to be conceded after a scrabble on the line.

After the home side tired, the strength and stamina of the whole of Oke meant they held their own until the final whistle with a greatly deserved 3-1 win.
