GIRL power continued to assert itself at the North Devon Hockey finals for Shebbear College recently, as the girls' team retained their title.

The under 16s girls' team retained their title by remaining unbeaten and winning the key fixture against West Buckland. They now advance to the county finals.

They beat Bideford College 1-0, Minnie Alexander pushing the ball in from a strong cross from Larissa Stroh.

They won 5-0 against Park School with Lucy Taylor scoring twice, Larissa Stroh scoring twice and Tabby Kirkwood also scoring before overcoming Holsworthy 3-0, with two more goals from Larissa Stroh and another from Lucy Taylor.

Their final game against West Buckland decided the tournament winner. Shebbear struck first, with a powerful goal from Eloise Maxa in the opening 50 seconds which proved the winner.
