Devon and Exeter seven Amory Green 1 South Zeal 5 WITH the return of Redd Cann completed, South Zeal came into this latest league game more confident than ever of a positive result. The game started in a scrappy fashion, with neither team stamping their authority. Captain Harley Cann soon got a grip of the game, which led to yet another clinical finish from Darren Gilbert, giving Zeal the lead after 20 minutes. The match continued in a broken fashion, until a lucky break led to Samuel Jones finishing in front of an open goal, making the score 2-0 in favour of South Zeal at half time. The second half brought the much anticipated return of Redd Cann into the fold, who immediately made a difference as Zeal's ball retention instantly improved. However, Amory struck first, with their centre forward finishing from less than five yards. This turn of events only resulted in Zeal upping their game, with Darren Gilbert netting his second, in superb fashion. Captain Harley Cann soon got in on the act, netting from 12 yards. Possession was now firmly in Zeal's favour and Harley Cann soon netted his tenth of the season and second of the game  to make the final score 5-1 to South Zeal. Harry Smith and Scott Tremain were again excellent in midfield while man of the match was Darren Gilbert.
