SPOONERS and West Dartmoor Pony Club had a successful day at the area dressage qualifiers held at the Royal Cornwall showground in Wadebridge at the weekend. Emma Manton won her arena in the intermediate section to secure a place at the national championships. Spooners' winning streak continued in the novice section where George Scott and Alice Kodritsch both won their arenas and also qualified for the championships. They were also placed fourth as a team with Emily Weight and Libby Todd. The Spooners' junior A team of Jade Coupland, Becky Macarthur, Ria Murdoch and Daisy Bensa were first in the 12 and under competition with the young B team of Jim Scott, Beth Foster, Abbie Webster and Maddie Nettleship coming fifth. To round off the day Emily Wooldridge won the walk and trot test with Holly Cole coming second. Max Lewis and Leigha Ewell completed the team and rode well.
