TAVISTOCK jujitsu instructor Umberto Bergonzini has just returned from teaching at an international jujitsu summer camp in?Italy.
A small group from the jujitsu Tavistock club joined Umberto and travelled to Italy, joining a large number of martial artists from all over Europe to take part in the summer camp.
Umberto said: ‘It was a fantastic week, filled with lots of hard training but at the same time with lots of fun. We all learned a lot from the guest instructors, some of the best in the world.
‘We got to practice in various disciplines, including karate, aikido, goju ryu jujitsu and competition jujitsu. It was good to share training tips and experiences with so many practitioners from different countries.
‘We were also honoured to be sharing the training space with the Italian jujitsu national team. All in all it was a wonderful experience and we are already looking forward to next year’s camp.’
