TAVISTOCK seconds beat Plymouth seconds by 42 runs at the Ring on Saturday.

John McGahey hit 37 and M Webber 30 in the home side's total of 129.

Plymouth bowler J Haffernan did the most damage with 4-16 while B Robins had figures of 2-24.

However, the home bowlers were very much on top as Plymouth were skittled out for 87 despite a top score of 29 for J Cunningham.

Tavistock bowlers Joe Trembath, 4-27, Andy Gauler, 2-28 and Callum Worth 2-16 wrapped it up for the home team.
