ON Saturday at Okehampton Golf Club a large field entered a three ball two to count Stableford competition for the Wilson Shield.

The winners of division one and the Wilson Shield were Jerry Lock, Simon Taylor and Graham Pengelly with 78 points after countback on the back nine from, in second, Malcolm Hooper, Matt Soby and Paul Prouse. Third place went to Malcolm Hill, Mark Wonnacott and Kevin Cornwall with 77pts.

Division two was won by Reg Prescott, Phil Hawking and Nick Atkinson with 76pts. Second place was awarded to Dan Prosser, Paul Rogers and Fred Scott-Lawson with 72pts and in third with 71pts were Steve Browne, Will Kinkead and Brian May.

The eligible ladies of Okehampton Golf Club entered a qualifying competition for the Devon County Veterans Lady Golf Association Killard Leavy Foursomes. The winners were Lorna Evans and Janice Thwaites with 34pts. They will now represent the club in the county finals.
