FROM the start Okehampton dominated the  first scrum with the front row of Middleton, M Baker and Nash disrupting the opposition pack for them to concede a penalty which Searle converted.

The next scrum was disrupted by scrum half Liversidge which set the tone for the rest of the game.

Searle converted his second penalty when Ivybridge were penalised for hands in the ruck. With dominant play Oke remained mainly in the Ivybridge half with forwards Williams, Giles Phillips, Sampson, G Baker and Pillivant breaking through and continually harrassing the Ivybridge defence - making a platform for backs Heard and Cooper to play the ball and feed out to Searle to score and convert.

Okehampton were reduced to 14 when Sampson was yellow carded for an off the ball incident but Ivybridge never took advantage and the visitors extended their score with another penalty just before half time making the score 16-0.

The second half was a more subdued game with both teams being penalised for offside and other infringements causing the penalty count to grow. Searle added six more points before Ivybridge rallied to create a breakaway try.

This win means Okehampton U16s have scored a staggering 1,029 points this season.
