Heavitree Saints U16s 3

OKEHAMPTON were away to Heavitree in their first match for a while. The game started evenly matched with strong play from both teams.

Midway through the first half Argyle took the lead when Tallon scored with a header supplied by Dan's cross. Argyle keeper and player of the match Jaden Read made a great punch out to save Heavitree's corner attempt but the first half ended with Heavitree equalising in the closing seconds.

Despite good teaming of Harry and Liam on the left and strong defending from Jack P and Matt in defence, Heavitree scored two goals in quick succession to take a swift 3-1 lead.

Solid play by Sam, a good double save from Oke keeper stopped Heavitree forging further ahead. 

Argyle stayed strong and pressure from Charlie R and Dan in midfield allowed a good run from Harry to cross the field to Jack S who quickly crossed to the back post and newcomer Liam scored to take Okehampton to 2-3.
