THE second in the Tavistock Wheelers Brentor road race series takes place on Sunday, May 22.

There will be two stages, with an individual time trial from Chillaton to Iron Railings in the morning and a road race, 10 laps of the five mile Brentor circuit, at lunchtime. The races will determine the ’yellow jersey’ winner of the series - the first race having taken place on Easter Sunday

Tavistock Wheelers’ Huw Richards is well placed in both the yellow jersey and green jersey (sprints) jersey, while hopes are for a good showing in the white jersey (junior) competition from Jordan Channon

As in the March race, 80 of the South West’s top road racers are set to take part.
