DARTMOOR Search and Rescue Team (DSRT) Tavistock were called to help police transport a 60-year-old woman off the moor after she collapsed on Sunday evening (August 25).

The victim was reported to be suffering from heat exhaustion somewhere on the track between South Hessary Tor and Princetown.

A DSRT team member, who happened to be at Princetown, was sent immediately to locate her.

Despite the rapid arrival of DSRT members, there was no sign of anyone in in trouble anywhere on the track between Princetown and Peat Cot.

Following discussions with the police control room, DSRT Tavistock stood down and the incident log was closed.
