INDUSTRIAL break-ins, a supermarket pickpocket and vandalism feature in this week’s #newsfromtheblues crime page.

• SEVEN premises were broken into on Exeter Road Industrial Estate in Okehampton overnight between Wednesday, July 5 and Thursday, July 6.

One unit had £150 in cash stolen.

Police are appealing for anyone with information over who may be responsible, or who witnessed any unusual vehicles or people in this area to come forward.

• POLICE are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward after the theft of a cattle trailer and a red Honda quadbike from the Lewdown area (reported in Alert). The incident happened overnight Saturday, July 8 to Sunday, July 9 from Cannon Park.

• A PURSE was stolen from a handbag at a supermarket in Okehampton by a male and a female. They then used the cards to spend £1,700 in different stores, including Co-op and the Cornish. The purse was stolen between 10.15am and 10.45am on July 4. CR/054156/17.

• ROOF slates have been ripped out and broken off Winsford Cottage Hospital in Halwill Junction sometime between 3pm on July 1 and noon on July 4. CR/054228/17.

• A MAN left with two energy drinks without paying from McColls in Okehampton on July 2 between 4.10pm and 4.15pm. CR/053647/17.

• A PARCEL was stolen from outside the front door of a property in Barn Close, Whiddon Down, on June 30 between 8am and 6pm. CR/054434/17.
