THERE was vintage music to hum along to at the vintage car day hosted in Inwardleigh by the Vertenten family on August 4.

The classic car day at Waterhouse Farm raised £975.78 for the British Heart Foundation.

Derek Vertenten, who staged the event with his wife Jane and son Daniel at their home, said: ‘We would like to thank everyone who supported our vintage and classic car event by bringing their cars and coming along, and also to thank everybody who came along on the day. It was fantastic, a great day.’

Music was provided by The Hummingbirds, a local a cappella group.

Some 160 cars came along on the day, including Rolls Royces, Bentleys and Austin 7s.
