WE would like to thank everybody involved with Knitting on the Edge.

First and foremost to Lesley and Jude whose drive and inspiration made the knitting happen.

Our target of 1,000 Izzy dolls and 200 twiddle muffs seemed mammoth at the beginning but was far exceeded on both counts. As I am sure everyone is aware, the dolls are going to children affected by war, extreme poverty or disaster and the twiddle muffs to dementia sufferers and children with special needs.

Thank you to everyone who donated wool, who knitted and crocheted, to Knitting Korner and Yarns of Tavistock who collected the wool and knitted articles, to Kings who host weekly knitting get-togethers, and to all our shopkeepers and businesses who displayed our goods. What a community! We are so lucky to live with such generous people.
