OKEHAMPTON'S Inspiration Church will celebrate Christmas with a busy weekend of activities and services this week.

Tomorrow (Friday), Father Christmas himself will call into the Inspiration Centre to visit the COTN Buds parents and toddler group. The group meets at 9.15am. All are welcome to come and visit Santa.

On Sunday, December 16, there will be a special Child of Bethlehem service at the Church Hall on Market Street from 10am. It will contain Christmas carols and mince-pies, but will also look at Bethlehem in 2012, which is a world away from the peaceful town in the carols.

An offering will be taken to support the work of the Bible Society, which is working with poverty stricken children in Bethlehem today. The service will be led by the Rev Chris Bourne.

That evening, the Rev Mike Davies will lead a lighter look at the importance of Christmas back at the Inspiration Centre at 6pm. All are welcome.
