EXBOURNE Local History Group is holding its next meeting on July 19 with guest speaker Geoffrey Cleverdon.

The theme of the meeting will be 'The History and Management of Hatherleigh Moor', with Mr Cleverdon revealing fascinating insight into the moor's history and evolution with the times.

New members are always welcome, with visitor's admission £2.

The group visited Knighthayes Court in Tiverton on Saturday May 21, with the opportunity to investigate the house's history and stroll around the picturesque gardens, with azaleas and other spring flowers still in bloom. The group hopes to see as many new members at its upcoming meeting as possible.
