ADVICE West Devon is to hold two events in early March connected with local information and advice services.
The events are open to staff or volunteers of any organisation providing services to local people and will take place on March 5 in Tavistock and on March 10 in Okehampton.
Speaking on behalf of the Advice West Devon partnership, Shirley Hooton said: 'We want to identify how easy it is for workers in local organisations to assist people when they ask for help with problems not specifically related to their own sphere of expertise.
'We know this happens a lot, as people often ask those they know and trust for help rather than go online or make a call to a helpline.
'By bringing organisations together to find out how their staff or volunteers currently manage this, what obstacles they face and what might help them to do more, we hope to improve local information and advice provision.'
If you want to find out more and shape how this service moves forward to benefit the two communities, then register your interest in attending the 'Window on West Devon' event by emailing [email protected]">[email protected]
